GRETA WILKINSON - OWNER/TEACHER
My first yoga class was at age 17 here in Christchurch, and I loved it! Coming from a dance background in ballet and contempory dance, yoga provided a great balance, integrating strength and flexibility with relaxation.
I’ve studied with Southern Ballet, before heading to Australia and then on to the UK in 1997. Performing in a contempory dance troop in the UK, yoga was a big part of our practice and I enjoyed trying different classes. It was the heated room, which attracted me to Hot Yoga, and in 2005 I began my yoga journey to become a Hot Yoga teacher with my best friend Nadine. I have studied and taught in London and the United States. Moving back to my hometown Christchurch, after thirteen years overseas with my husband, I taught yoga at the Kilmore St. Studio above Pomeroys Pub for 4 ½ years. In that time I taught throughout my pregnancy in 2007, and now have a little yogini named Evie.
In January 2012, I graduated from Donna Farhi’s Intensive teacher training. I am excited to share and to grow as a student and as a teacher. I see this as a great way to give back to the community of Christchurch with Flow Hot Yoga.
