Hi I’m Tanya,
I feel very blessed as my passion is my job. I am a positive, caring, compassionate person with a respectful attitude to myself and others.
Growing up I came from a gymnastics and sports background. I went on to study pharmacy, aesthetics, worked for several years in the Medical Health Insurance Sector, and am a certified Group Fitness Instructor for Les Mills. Over the last 25 years I’ve been teaching for Les Mills in the Group Fitness Industry, the last ten of these teaching a Hatha yoga based programme called Body Balance.
Finding hot yoga in 2008 was when by true yoga journey began. I practiced Bikram yoga for three years under the encouraging and inspiring instruction of Greta, Jess and Victoria. In 2011 I studied with Donna Farhi attending intensive workshops and in January 2012 was privileged to be accepted to do Donna’s Advance Teacher Yoga Training where I graduated. I like many others am on an individual journey, growing, learning and loving the ongoing art and science of yoga.
My style of teaching, like practicing, offers a rare state of inner calm and a challenging physical workout that builds both upper and lower body strength which deliver lasting benefits in terms of self awareness and development, an increased energy and vitality, a stronger more flexible physical body while becoming partners with gravity, and a greater sense of well-being and peace within.
Flow Hot Yoga is a studio and community with a heart. I am loving my time here as a teacher and student, sharing and celebrating what is often the best part of our day – the joy of yoga.
